This print collection was inspired by a poem written by a friend about feeling broken and in need of rest. I chose to abstract the form of protea flowers, which have fragment-like petals, to draw from this concept of brokenness. I also was inspired by the abstract style developed by artist and textile designer Sonia Delaunay, and I emulated her circularity and overlapping of motifs. For the color palette, I drew from trends forecasted for Spring/Summer 2021.
